$300 fee for shooting in NYC?
There is a public hearing coming up June 3rd 2010 to discuss imposing a $300 fee for EVRY APPLICATION submitted to get permits from the Mayors Office of Film and TV.  You already need to prove $1,000,000 in insurance to the city, which isn’t cheap, so this would just kill independent filmmakers and photographers.  This would be for every new project, so a shoot today, and a different shoot...
