Cones of Uncertainty.

Reading up on Hurricane Earl, I just learned that the NOAA describes the forecasted path of a hurricane as a ‘cone of uncertainty’. Makes sense.

I had only known its use within programming and project management where the cone of uncertainty comes at the beginning of an event.
